Mix 10 to 15 drops of tea tree and lemon essential oils in a jar with approximately one cup, or a little more, of baking soda. Shake well so that the oils are evenly dispersed. Place a tablespoon or two in your toilet and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Scrub with a toilet brush and flush. The essential oils will eliminate bacteria as well as prevent odors from starting. The mixture will also remove stains associated with residue from use or chemicals in the water.

A mixture of equal parts vinegar and distilled water with a few drops of your favorite essential oil can be placed in a spray bottle and used on all types of glass or counter surfaces. Wipe with a soft cloth, paper towel, or even newspaper for a streak-free shine. Not only will your windows be sparkling clean, but your house will also smell fresh and clean too.
