Steam cleaning, also called hot water extraction, is the method we typically recommend for the deepest clean. It uses hot water, professional cleaning solutions, and powerful extraction to remove soil, buildup, allergens, and contaminants from the carpet fibers.
Low-moisture cleaning can be a good option for certain maintenance cleanings or commercial settings where faster dry times are important. Traditional carpet shampooing is an older term and process that often relied more heavily on detergents and agitation. We generally do not recommend shampoo-style cleaning because it can leave residue behind if not properly rinsed and extracted.
